Consistent with the large volume of agricultural business conducted in the Central Valley, the Business Department takes great pride in representing numerous significant agricultural families and business entities. The Department works closely with its agricultural clients to plan, implement and document effective and efficient business structures and strategies, including sales and acquisitions of agricultural real property, drafting and review of agricultural leases for both tenants and landlords and the formation and capitalization of family farming limited partnerships and limited liability companies.
All agricultural structures and strategies undertaken in this field include comprehensive consideration of liability protection, income taxation, real property taxation, estate planning and Williamson Act provisions. As in all business matters, the Business Department works closely with its agricultural clients, their accountants, and other advisors to ensure that a team approach is utilized in formulating and implementing every comprehensive agricultural business structure and strategy.
