The Litigation Department is keenly aware that appellate advocacy begins in the trial court. Appellate doctrines and specialized rules of the appellate courts require trial attorneys to create and preserve the trial court record for appeal. The Litigation Department has the capability and competence to advise clients through the trial and appellate processes. We have a close working knowledge of the state and federal appellate systems and have appeared in the California Courts of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
